It’s easier than ever to work with students all over the world. Using a webcam and a virtual whiteboard, it’s like we’re sitting right next to each other!
Even though the lesson is digital, I strongly believe that students learn best when they have hard copies of their notes. They should take practice tests and work on practice problems with a pencil and paper, just like the real SAT. I require all of my online students to purchase the following book.
The Official SAT Study Guide (from the College Board)
The Official ACT Prep Guide (from ACT.org)
For best results, I recommend that students begin tutoring 2 to 3 months before their scheduled test day. I typically meet with students once or twice a week for 60 minutes at a time. I will assign homework in between sessions and expect my students to send me their answers before our next session.
